Operating a Sun-Mar is easy. There are two things that you have to do on a routine basis - rotate the drum and add bulking material, at the rate of a cupful per person per day.

Prolong the Life of Your Septic

If you have a failing septic, installing a Sun-Mar will allow you to put greywater only into the septic, until you have the time and/or money to replace the leaching field and distribution lines.

Save Water

Each household uses an average of 87.5 gallons of fresh water per household per day for flushing the toilet.

Taking conservative sales figures into account of all of the units that we have sold since our inception, and dividing that number into 80% for cottage use and 20% for residential use, Sun-Mar users save an average of 5.1 Million Gallons A Day, with that number increasing for each unit that is bought and installed. Add that up over the years, and that is quite a lot of that precious resource that Sun-Mar users have been saving, on an ongoing basis.
